It's time for another Wednesday update on my works in progress. This past week has been a bit slow but I've been making progress none the less. Small steps are still steps in the right direction after all.
Jasmine's Got Talent! is now in the final stages. All the illustrations are now done (except for one dog that I'm waiting on photo's of).
Over the past week I've been working on tidying up the illustrations and tweaking them here and there. I've also now started to embed the text. So close to being finished now. Getting excited!
As for my WNFIN writing challenge, I'm making progress... slowly but making progress. As you may recall, I'm working on writing How to be Pinterest Perfect this month (with the hopes of getting it ready in time for release either before Christmas, or in January 2015. Technically I should be about 1/3 of the way done by now. I'm not. Not even close. Still, the month isn't over yet so there's still a chance I'll meet my goal and get it finished.
PiBoIdMo ideas have slowed down over this past week but I'm still ahead of myself with a total of 22 ideas listed so far.
I already have a couple of them that I've marked for my 2015 publication list. There's also a few non fiction picture books ideas for some series that have a lot of potential.
So, over all much slower paced than last week, but still making progress.
How's your week been? Are you making progress on your WIP?
As most of you will know by now, I'm currently working on illustrating the 3rd book in the Jasmine Dreams series for author +Maria Rochelle. Jasmine's Got Talent! is turning out to be the most fun yet and I'm sure the book will be a huge success.
Today I thought I'd introduce you to some of the characters by sharing with you a few of the character cards. (If you remember, Maria ran a photo contest on her Facebook page and these characters are therefore based on real pets that had received the most votes during the contest- You can see the initial sketches I did from the photo's here).
These are just a few of the characters featured in the book:

Keep your eyes open for more updates about the release of Jasmine's Got Talent! in the near future!

At the moment I'm working on illustrating Jasmine's Got Talent!, the 3rd book in the Jasmine Dreams series for author +Maria Rochelle. For this book Maria ran a photo contest via her Facebook page and the most voted for pets won the chance to be in this book. What a great bunch they are too!
Before I do the cartoon form, digital versions for the book I like to do a quick pencil sketch to get a feel for the character. It helps me work out how to simplify them whilst still keeping true to the real animal. Today I thought I'd share with you the character sketches of the winning pets that will be featured in Jasmine's Got Talent!
I was interviewed on Sunday by +Susie Caron in a live Google+ hangout. We chatted about my latest release How to be Twittertastic and a whole bunch of other stuff too. It was loads of fun and time just flew by. If you missed the live, you can watch it here:
I've also been busy the past couple of days doing some sketches for Jasmine's Got Talent! the 3rd book in the Jasmine Dreams series written by author +Maria Rochelle.
For this book Maria ran a contest via her Facebook page where people posted photo's of their pets. People then voted and she picked out a top ten. Eight of those will be featured in the book.
Here's some of the sketches:
I've been busy illustrating the second book in the Jasmine Dreams series for author Maria Rochelle and I'm super excited to share that Jasmine the Chef will be released soon both in print and kindle versions.
I love these little dogs and in this book you get introduced to some more of Jasmine's friends.
Here's the cover:
Look out for it on Amazon soon!
