Want to grow your blog? Got some free time during the weekend? This post will give you some ideas for things you can do to grow your blog this weekend.

1)  Blog audit

As you may know, I'm a huge fan of doing blog audits (so much so that I created the Blog Audit Challenge!).

Put in simple terms a blog audit is creating a list of things on your blog to fix and improve on.

2) Pitch a guest post

Quality backlinks to your blog do wonders for your DA score and also put you in front of a whole new audience.

3) Create/Improve resources page

A resources page is a great asset to any blog as they tend to pull in a lot of traffic.

4) Schedule social media posts/pins for the week

Most social media sites offer the option to schedule posts in advance. Make good use of this feature and set up some promotional posts for your content to go out throughout the week.

It's also a good idea to create multiple pins for each of your blog posts and schedule them on Pinterest to post to a variety of boards.

5) Be active on social media

Hop on your various social media platforms and join in the conversation. By being an active part of the community other members will be more likely to support your blog and share your content.

Make sure you're sharing other bloggers content too. You should always try to give more than you get.

6) Update older posts

Don't neglect your older content. By updating older posts you're putting them back on Google's radar as fresh content. You're also making sure that the quality of your posts is up to your current standards.

Updates can be simple little tweaks like; updating the images in the post, adding in new internal links, removing broken links, upgrading your headers, or you might want to improve the general SEO of the post.

7) Check out your Analytics

It's always a good idea to know what is working, and what isn't, on your blog. Check your analytics to see what posts are doing well and where your traffic is coming from.

8) Reply to comments

If your readers leave you comments on your blog posts it's good practice to reply to them. It's also a good idea to go through comments to make sure no spam comments have gotten through. If they have (it happens) a quick clean up will get things looking good again.
