The wonderful Tori Griffin came up with the awesome idea of bringing together a group of authors for a huge video collaboration project. Obviously, I jumped at the chance to be involved. From April through to the end of June 2017 I'm participating with a group of other authors in the Giant Authortube Collab. This is a series of video where we come together to answers different questions each week.

#WIP Update: From Idea to Published Book
As you may already know, I took part in Write Non Fiction in November Challenge (Also known as WNFIN and NaNoFiWriMo) back in November 2015 [seems so long ago now huh?]. Well, I thought I'd give you all an update on where I'm at with the project.
From Idea to Published Book is a non fiction book designed to help aspiring authors take their idea and turn it into a published book. It's packed full of tips and ideas to get your creative juices flowing.
During the November challenge I wrote a complete rough draft of the book, and I'm now working on revisions and editing. All going to plan the book will be ready for release in February this year.
Here's the cover design:
I'm planning on doing a virtual book tour for the launch of the book in February. If you're interested in hosting me on your site please get in touch to organise the details.
As I can still add bits to the book, I have a question for you; What part of the process would you most like to know more about? Can be anything from finding the idea for your book to finished, published book. Looking forward to hearing your answers.
YAY!!! Happy dance time. I got my 30 ideas and 30 days and therefore I'm happy to announce that I'm a PiBoIdMo winner again this year :D

I'm really excited about some of the ideas on my list too. Some of which have been put on my publication list for 2015 so keep your eyes open for updates on those in the near future ;)
Unfortunately due to personal problems and a variety of viruses and other seasonal joys (both my kids decided to bring home every cold, cough, stomach bug.... that was on offer this year and generously shared them with us all), I didn't manage to be a WNFIN winner too. I had hoped I'd get the book finished by the end of November but life just got in the way. I am however closer to finishing it than I was at the beginning of the month and so I still class that as a mini victory even if I didn't meet my goal. How to be Pinterest Perfect will be finished soon though and is scheduled for release early in the new year.
Did you meet your writing goals for November?
This time of year is always super busy. With two young children, my calendar is full of school plays and a wide variety of other end of year activities. Then of course are the usual birthday parties and other social gatherings. As school is now out for my 6 year old (the 2 year old finishes later on this month), I'm also in full on summer mode coming up with fun things to do.
I'm one of those people that tend to go from very white to very red, and then back to a slightly less white. At the moment I'm in the very red stage following our first trip to the beach.
Note to self: Be as good about putting sun scream on your own back as you are with the kids. Lobster is not a good look.
All this offline fun hasn't stopped me from working though...OK I'm working less at the moment but even I need some time off once in a while ;) I am preparing for my next release though. How to be Twittertastic will be released this July and so I have plenty of work to do. The release of a book takes time and effort. I'm not just talking about getting the final product ready for publication either. All authors want their book to be a huge success right from the word go. In order for that to happen you need to put the work in BEFORE it goes to print. This month I'm working on my pre-release prep and promotion. So far I've done an exclusive cover reveal during the Promo Day event on 31st May followed by an official cover reveal on 2nd June where I was hosted on blogs and social media sites. I've also started my social media campaign by updating my Facebook page banner. This is the post that went out with the update:
I'll be starting to prepare for the virtual book tour to promote the release over the next week or two which will include, guest posts, interviews, book spotlights, reviews, and more. If you'd like to be one of the first to sign up to host me during the tour please let a comment below or drop me an email. The tour will run over the whole month of July.
