I'm in full swing with my end of year audit, and plans for 2018. One thing I want to be more organised about, and do more of is Authortube. I'm getting organised for Booktube in general, but for today's post I want to concentrate on the author community.
Booktube in a small community on Youtube. Authortube in an even smaller segment of that. My goal is to post one Authortube video, and one Booktube video a week (minimum) in 2018.
Ideas for Booktube videos are easy. Book reviews, unboxings, book hauls, book tags, readathons, etc... There's plenty of content options.
Authortube is a smaller community and so doesn't have many tags. I'm trying to come up with a few originals to post in the new year, so that's a starting point I guess. The problem is, what else should I post?
What to post?
I've done some readings from some of my books in the past and will be adding more of those.
Then I thought about reviews. I do a lot of book reviews for Booktube, so why not do some reviews of gadgets, and tools I use for my writing too, right?
I've also been thinking about writer problems and how to overcome them. If I struggle, maybe others out there are having the same problems. Stuff like time management, and finding inspiration would fall into this category too.
Work in progress vlogs work well during events like NaNoWriMo. Would these still appeal to viewers throughout the rest of the year?
I took part in an Authortube Collaboration earlier this year which was a lot of fun. I'd love to do more of these in the new year. Anyone interested in doing something? Ideas for what that something could be?
Are you part of Authortube? Do you struggle to come up with ideas for video content?
Got a suggestion for a video that you'd like to see me do that's not on the list above?
