I’m reviewing Wonky: A Very Special Christmas Tree, kindly sent to me by the author as a review copy.

It’s a lovely Christmas story for children, especially for any child who’s ever felt “a bit wonky”.

The main character, Wonky the Christmas tree, is crooked and doesn’t get picked at first.

He dreams of being a perfect, sparkling Christmas tree.

With the help of the animals, Wonky gains confidence and is eventually chosen by the children from the play school.

He is taken to the play school, decorated, and truly gets to live his best life.

The story shows that even those who feel “wonky” can shine with the right care and love.

I loved the positive message and felt it was beautifully expressed.

The text is very cute and ideal for reading together with little ones.

The illustrations are simple but detailed enough to hold younger children’s attention.

Overall, I thought it was great — two thumbs up.

It’s a lovely Christmas read to add to your festive book list, and I’m sure children will enjoy it.
