Last week was rough (you can find out more in my wrap up) and meant that I needed a little pampering and self-care. I decide a little home spa treatment could be just what I needed and so grabbed myself a Selya Face Mask with Hyaluronic Acid and Coconut.

I've recently been embracing the idea of home spa nights (shout out to my niece for the suggestion) as a way to balance all the health issues I'm going through. She got me hooked on the idea of face masks as a way to be still, properly relax, and give my skin a much needed boost at the same time.

I've tried the Cosmi Premium Skincare Korean Collagen Face Mask in the past and I'm a bit obsessed with it but figured I'd try out some cheaper options too and see if they're still worth doing. 

The Selya Face Mask range has quite a few different mask options available but as I was dehydrated due to my colonoscopy prep I figured I'd go for the hyaluronic acid one in the hopes of putting some life back into my skin again.

Review

Not every skincare product is a game-changer — and that’s okay. The Selya Face Mask with Hyaluronic Acid and Coconut falls into that middle category: it’s not bad, not amazing, but for €0.99, it does what you’d expect — and maybe a little more.

The packaging is simple but attractive, and it’s easy to spot among other face masks in the store. As soon as you open it, you're met with a refreshing, clean scent — nothing too overpowering, just enough to feel spa-like.

Hyaluronic acid is known for its ability to retain moisture and plump the skin, and this mask delivers on that promise. After just 15 minutes, my skin felt noticeably more hydrated, soft, and smooth. It's especially great for those days when your skin feels tired, dry, or dull.

One of the biggest advantages of the Selya Face Mask with Hyaluronic Acid and Coconut is its unbeatable price — at only €0.99, it’s hard to complain. It does leave the skin feeling refreshed and lightly hydrated, which is all many people are looking for in a quick sheet mask. The formula is gentle, making it a decent option even for sensitive skin, and the mask itself is easy to use without creating a mess. It’s also a convenient choice for travel or quick self-care moments when you don’t have time for a full routine.

That said, the effects are pretty short-term. You’ll notice a slight hydration boost, but don’t expect any long-lasting improvement in skin texture or moisture levels. Also, the sheet is on the thinner side and can tear easily if you’re not careful when unfolding it. Removing the blue layer was a little tricky. Overall, it’s functional, but not the most durable or effective option out there.

Review

I absolutely love this product and have been consistently impressed with the quality of the Natural & Easy range. Shade 580 Natural Dark Brown has quickly become a favourite of mine. The colour is rich, natural-looking, and gives my hair a healthy shine without appearing overly dark or artificial.

The application process is very straightforward, even for someone without much experience dyeing their hair at home. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the formula itself is smooth and non-drip, which makes it far less messy than some other brands I’ve tried in the past.

What I particularly appreciate about this range is how gentle it is on the hair. After using this dye, my hair feels soft and well-conditioned, not dry or damaged like it has with some other products. The included conditioner is lovely and leaves my hair feeling nourished and manageable.

I’ve used a few other shades from the Natural & Easy collection in the past, and they’ve all delivered pretty good results, but I think I’ve finally found “my” colour with the Natural Dark Brown. It suits my skin tone perfectly and gives a very polished, yet natural appearance. I’m planning to stick with this shade for a while... probably...maybe...or at least until I get the urge to change things up again (if you've been here before you know the chances of this happening are high 🤣).

All in all, I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an easy-to-use, reliable home hair dye that delivers beautiful, natural results.

I’m absolutely in love with the results! From start to finish, the process was super easy. The colour mixed up quickly and was easy to apply, with no mess at all. I wanted a brown that would put some warm tones back into my hair but nothing too dark (I'm still not 100% convinced about going darker again and so didn't want to opt for anything too strong. This felt like a good in between level to see how I feel about it).

Review

The 565 Natural Golden Light Brown is a beautiful, warm shade with just the right amount of golden undertones. If you’re after a hair colour that’s neither too dark nor too light, this one’s a perfect balance. It gives off that soft, natural glow, especially when it catches the light. The golden brown tones are warm enough to brighten up your face but not so in-your-face that they feel unnatural.

The formula is creamy, which means it spreads through your hair without dripping all over the place. Even better, it doesn’t have that overly harsh chemical smell that makes you want to hold your breath through the whole process. The instructions are clear, and the gloves provided are a nice touch to avoid any dye mishaps on your hands.

I found the whole process to be quick and straightforward. After applying the dye, I left it on for the recommended time, rinsed it out, and used the conditioner that comes with the kit. It left my hair feeling soft and nourished.

The box promised 100% coverage of grey hairs and it did do a good job... maybe not quite 100% but close. Overall I'm very happy with the result.

L'Oreal Paris Elvive Hyaluron Plump Hydrating Shampoo is for all hair types but recommended for dry and dehydrated hair, which is what caught my attention.

I used this shampoo for a month washing my hair 1-2 times a week. 

Overall this shampoo worked quite well with my hair. Even a small amount soaped up nicely (important element for me as I have thick hair and a lot of it). 

It definitely gave it more volume and bounce so the promise of replumping dry hair was full-filled. It also had a nice delicate smell.

If you have dry or damaged hair it's worth giving it a try.

As you might know, I'm on a bit of a mission to improve the overall condition of my hair at the moment. In recent months I put it through quite a lot in terms of bleaching and various box dyes. It's time for some TLC.

When I found this sample packet on offer for just €0,50 I figured I'd give it a try. The RRP for the 500ml jar is just €7,10 so it's a good product for those on a tighter budget.

Whilst it was only enough for one use (25ml), it did leave my hair feeling much softer and reduced the frizz a bit too. 

Overall I think it would be worth getting the bigger 500ml jar to try it out over a longer period of time. 

The Imperial Argan Restructuring Hair Mask for Dry and Damaged Hair is Made in Italy and cruelty free. 

Closing thoughts
