I've seen loads of articles, posts, and videos gushing over what an amazing product the L’Oréal Elvive Bond Repair Leave-In Serum is. Some have compared it to the famous OLAPLEX bonding range. 

Given that I'm a frugal gal and OLAPLEX is out of my budget range, I figured it was worth giving the L’Oréal Elvive Bond Repair Leave-In Serum a try. I paid €8.50 for a bottle, which although isn't exactly cheap, it's definitely more in my price range.

My hair is badly damaged from over bleaching. A lot of my hair has broken off over the past year due to the drastic changes and treatments I've put it through. Needless to say it's in need of some TLC which makes it perfect for testing just how good the L’Oréal  Elvive Bond Repair Leave-In Serum really is.

This leave-in serum forms the fourth and final step in the new Bond Repair haircare routine for stronger hair with maximum shine and heat protection. Hair is made up of millions of bonds that give it structure and strength. When hair bonds break, through brushing, bleaching, heating, and styling, hair becomes weak and damaged. Usage

Use as a finishing touch in the Bond Repair routine for maximum shine and heat protection. Rub two drops between the palms of your hands. Apply evenly through the lengths and ends of wet or dry hair.

My Review: My Thoughts About L’Oréal Elvive Bond Repair Leave-In Serum


I've never used a bonding serum before so this was my first experience with such a product, and I love it! 

I've been using it for the past two weeks. I applied it after washing my hair, before drying it. I also used it a few times on dry hair. 

The general condition of my hair has improved a lot. My hair is shiny and soft and it got rid of my dry ends. 

It's rained a lot here in Rome recently and that normally means a lot of frizz but with this serum it stayed under control. 

Another plus for this product is that a little goes a long way. Two or three drops is enough which means the bottle should last quite a while. 

I will definitely continue using this product in the future and I'm now curious to try the other products in L’Oréal Elvive Bond Repair range.

    Hi Thanks for the review. I have a question. After applying this product do you style your hair with straighteners/curling tongs? If yes how does this affect your hair? Many thanks

      I do straighten my hair after applying it but make sure it's fully absorbed into the hair first. Only apply to the ends not the roots. It works well to smooth the hair after straightening too (only use a tiny amount for that though or it'll leave you with greasy hair). Hope this helps.
