1. Instant Pots and Pressure Cookers

Instant Pots and other modern pressure cookers have become kitchen staples, offering quick and efficient meal preparation. This encompasses correct assembly, precise ingredient measurements, and adherence to recommended cooking times.

3. Microwaves

Proper food preparation in a microwave involves using microwave-safe containers, avoiding non-microwave-safe plastic, and stirring regularly for even heating. Some materials, especially certain plastics and ceramics, can become dangerously hot or even release harmful chemicals when heated.

Reports of 250 fires and numerous injuries prompted the recall, with issues arising from front-mounted knobs that could accidentally activate. 

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) noted that these knobs contributed to at least 18 fires causing significant property damage and seven pet deaths. The recall affects models with these faulty knobs, and both Samsung and the CPSC have provided lists of affected products online.

Is cooking on an electric stove healthy?

Cooking on an electric stove is generally safe and healthy. It doesn’t emit combustion byproducts like gas stoves can. For healthy cooking, use non-toxic cookware and avoid overheating. Regular maintenance of the stove can also help prevent potential issues and ensure safe cooking conditions.
