Last week I posted a video where I spoke about the benefits of hosting others. Today I'm going to go into the specifics of hosting others on your social media profiles.
Do you host regular Facebook Wall Chats? Twitter interviews? Google+ hangouts? If yes, leave the link to your page/profile below in the comments section.
Virtual Book Tours: Benefits of Hosting Others
As you know I love hosting others on my sites and supporting other writers. I do Featured Friday on this blog, Wall Chat Wednesday on Facebook, a whole bunch of stuff through Writers and Authors and Promo Day, and occasionally I also do Twitter chats and Google+ hangouts too.
I think it's important to support my writing colleagues but I'm not doing it all JUST to be nice to them. There's something in it for me too. In this video I explain some of the benefits of hosting others.
Whether you're a writer yourself or not, hosting others can be a great way of increasing traffic to your site, offers your readers something a bit different, increases engagement and gets you some back links and other SEO elements that will help your site show up better in search engine results. It's also good for karma and leaves you with that feel good sense inside.

Today I'm sharing some behind the scenes info and insight about my book Virtual Book Tours: Effective Online Book Promotion From the Comfort of Your Own Home.
All this week I'm going to be sharing a series of video's I recorded about virtual book tours. First up is this one where I answer the question "What are virtual book tours?"
