February Challenges

Our focus for February is on information pages. Did you know that About pages are statistically one of the most viewed pages on any website?

The February challenges will make sure our About pages shine, and make sure our blogs have all the right legal disclaimers. We'll also be working on our resource pages to make sure we're leveraging them to their full potential.

The February challenges:

1. About page

An About page, like any other page on your website, should be optimized to drive engagement, enhance your brand, and increase conversions.

Your About page should be as much about the reader as it is about you. Along the way the reader should be getting value. My About page isn't bad but it could be better. I'm definitely going to be looking into ways I can make it more valuable for my readers.

Work on your About page, making sure it offers value to the reader and includes at least one Call To Action (CTA).

2. Legal disclaimers

It's important to make sure your blog contains all relevant legal disclaimers, and your personal policies. You can see my legal disclaimers page here

I'll be doing some research to make sure my legal information is up to date.

Make sure your blog has an up to date legal disclaimers page.

Not sure how to write a legal disclaimer? Check out this blog post at https://raelyntan.com/write-blog-disclaimer/, or this one at https://thesavvycouple.com/blogging-laws/ for some pointers.

3. Resources

Having a page for resources on your blog can be a great way to get readers coming back again and again.

I definitely need to work on updating my resources page. Outdated materials need to be removed, the overall presentation and organisation needs to be improved, and it needs to have a clearer purpose.

Remember: Every page on your website "should be optimized to drive engagement, enhance your brand, and increase conversions". That includes your resources page.

How does your resources page enhance your brand? Is it optimized to drive engagement? What do you hope to achieve with your resources page? How can you improve it to help you reach those goals?
