Welcome to my January 2025 wrap up!
Here's a break down of what I got up to this month:
Wrapping Up January: What Happened This Month
Hair
Nothing much to report this month. I've been using deep conditioning hair masks and wearing my hair in it's natural curls most of the time. I did finally get round to dying my hair using L'Oreal Excellence 8 in Light Blonde which blended in my roots nicely.
I'm honestly not sure what I want to do with my hair at the moment and so I'm just keeping it the same and trying to improve the overall condition for the time being. I feel a new haircut coming on in the near future though... once I make up my mind about what to do with it.
Health
I'm still struggling with my health but I am doing better than I was in December. The new meds seem to be helping as do the changes to my diet and exercise routine.
Later this month I'll be having more tests and visits at the hospital done, including a gastroscopy and multiple biopsies which hopefully will cast some light on what's causing (if not all, at least some) of my problems.

Blogging
January traffic was WOW! Another new personal best for views to the site. The crazy thing is I posted much less than I usually do due to my ongoing health issues.
Traffic for January: 427,426 page-views
Number of blog posts published in January: 13
Current DA score: 27
Reading challenges
The Clock Reading Challenge 2025
Books read:
6- Six Sisters by Dan Alatorre - My Review (coming soon) - Amazon - Goodreads
The Net Galley TBR Reading Challenge 2025
I didn't finish any books from my Net Galley TBR in January but I did start reading Just one night in Rome by Tiziana Olbrich. My current feedback ratio is 90% and as I have a lot less books on my TBR for this year (if I can resist adding more), I'm hopeful that I'll finally clear my backlog this year.

Travel
If we're not counting hospitals when nothing at all to report on.
Fitness
As part of my new routine I have to go for a short walk after each meal. At the beginning this was a bit of a struggle as I was so weak from being ill but I've gradually improved and now (if the weather is nice) actually look forward to walking. I usually take my dog with me so he's super happy too.
I'm definitely learning that gradually making changes is the right way to go about my health. Whether it's slowly increasing the number of steps I do in a day or the amount of fiber in my diet, doing it slowly seems to be working.
