Product Review: Schwarzkopf Brilliance 880 Dark Brown Hair Dye

I had been sticking with the Natural and Easy dark brown hair dye but unfortunately I haven't been able to find it anywhere lately and so had to make a change. I decided to opt for the Schwarzkopf Brilliance 880 Dark Brown Hair Dye as it was similar in colour.

As I've had good results with other tones in the Schwarzkopf Brilliance range in the past (see my reviews for the 884 Chocolate Brown Hair dye and the 862 Hair Dye), I decided this one was worth trying. Will the 880 Dark Brown be just as good at covering the grey hair?

Review

The Schwarzkopf Brilliance 880 Dark Brown Hair Dye didn't disappoint! As with the other shades I've tried in the past from this range, this one did an excellent job of covering my grey hair. As box dyes go, the Schwarzkopf Brilliance range is one of the few that actually do a good job of giving 100% coverage of grey hair and for that alone it would be worth recommending.

It also left my hair feeling great afterwards. Hair dye that leaves your hair feeling smoother and softer afterwards is always a good sign as so many can damage and dry the hair.

Given the positive experiences I've had now with various shades in the Schwarzkopf Brilliance range I can recommend them for good grey coverage and rich colour results. I'll definitely be trying other shades in the future.
