Christmas Books I Use Every Year

My favourite festive reads that have become part of our family traditions.

Some books aren’t just stories — they become traditions.
Every December, these Christmas books get pulled off my shelves again and again, and they’ve become a cherished part of how my family celebrates the season.

Below are the Christmas books I use every year, the ones filled with nostalgia, cosy vibes, and a whole lot of festive magic.

If you love seasonal reading as much as I do, you might also enjoy my Christmas Romance Books To Read This Holiday Season or Winter Reads: Books To Get You In The Christmas Mood that are perfect for cosy winter evenings.

T'was the Night Before Christmas by Clement C Moore

T'was the Night Before Christmas by Clement C Moore

This book was part of my family Christmas traditions from when I was young. Every Christmas Eve my parents would pull out our copy and my dad would read it to us.

I decided to continue the tradition and now read it with my sons every year.

There are loads of different editions available at a variety of prices so you should be able to get a copy to suit any budget. Get a copy now from Amazon.

I've always loved this book and the film version. Both make an appearance every year in my house.

A few years ago I got a paperback copy from Book Depository that came with an audio CD. My kids loved listening to the story being read as they read along. Get a copy now from Amazon.

The Ultimate Christmas

The Ultimate Christmas Book

I received a copy of this book as a Christmas present about 20 years ago and never fail to pull it out every December.

Not only does it have some awesome recipes (the main reason I use it), it also has some DIY crafts and activities as well as great tips on preparing for Christmas parties. Get a copy from Amazon here

Final Thoughts

Traditions are made of small, meaningful moments — and for me, these books are a big part of that. They bring nostalgia, joy, creativity, and a sense of togetherness into the holiday season.
