Books with the Number Five in the Title

I created the Clock Reading Challenge a few years ago and it's still going strong. You can find all the info about this years Clock Reading Challenge here, if you'd like more details about the challenge and how to join the 2023 edition.

I've already done a post in the past with Books with Numbers 1-12 in the Title but wanted to do more detailed posts for each number and offer even more ideas for books to choose from.

For this post I'll be sharing books with number five in the title. All the books listed I either own or have read.

Five in a Row by Jan Coffey
Five in a Row by Jan Coffey

There are no accidents…

A Porsche careens out of control in a crowded parking lot. A brand new SUV smashes through a dealership’s plate glass window. A Mercedes races wildly down a pier before diving off the end onto the deck of a yacht. Then, two more wrecks. Witnesses report the vehicles had "a mind of their own" before each accident. Five in a row can’t be a coincidence.

Computer guru Emily Doyle has become the single-minded focus of a hacker determined to capture her attention. She recognizes the technology that is being used to gain control of the vehicles—and in some way, she is connected to each of the victims. Ben Colter is the investigator called in by the automakers to find the link. As the casualties mount, Emily and Ben must unravel the puzzle of the seemingly random attacks, as a twisted mind moves from virtual reality to international terrorism.

Five Will Die by L.A. Detwiler

Five Will Die by L.A. Detwiler

By Friday, one will kill and one will die in the Evermore Publishing offices. But this is just the start of a horrifying chain of murders because the killer has much bigger plans.

From the USA Today bestseller comes a shocking thriller that will keep you guessing up until the very last page.

When a new girl, Becky Rusett, joins the Evermore Publishing team, she’ll start to realize no office setting is as safe as it appears. The secrets, lies, and underhanded dealings of the publishing house are unsettling enough–but now some sinister events are putting the entire office in real danger.

Decades before Evermore Publishing existed, a group of five meanspirited children terrorized a young child in a small town. The Fab 5, as they were called, set off the chain of events that would lead to the horrific events at Evermore. But what’s their connection to the New York City bookworms…and can anyone solve the mystery before there’s a brutal murder?

You never really know if there’s a killer in the cubicle beside you. This tense mystery is only the first of five books tracing the footsteps of a killer.
