Product Review: Forever You Hydrating Anti-Age Face Mask

I recently went to the supermarket Penny here in Rome and ended up getting an absolute bargain on Face masks. They had a few in their Forever You range for just €0.50 each. Of course, I couldn't pass up an offer like that and so got one of each to try out.

Will these bargain sheet masks do the job? Read on to find out how I got on with the Forever You Hydrating Anti-Age Face Mask.

This mask, made from soft biodegradable fabric, is infused with a lotion enriched with aloe vera that gives the skin a pleasant, relaxing sensation and softness. The gentle formulation, combined with results from dermatological testing, makes it suitable for all skin types. With Avocado Oil, Aloe, Vitamin E, Hyaluronic Acid, Panthenol (Pro-vitamin B5), Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), and Inulin (Prebiotic).

*Instrumental tests demonstrated 15 minutes after removing the mask:

A statistically significant increase in skin hydration of 28% and skin radiance of 32%.

Warnings

WARNINGS: For external use only. Do not use on broken skin or in case of intolerance to the ingredients described. Keep out of reach of children.

Directions for Use

Thoroughly cleanse and dry your face.
Carefully apply the mask to the face and press lightly to ensure it adheres perfectly to the skin.
Leave to act for 10-15 minutes, then gently remove.
Gently massage any excess product into the face and neck until fully absorbed. No need to rinse.

Review

Given the price I paid for this face mask it wasn't bad. That said, it wasn't anywhere near as good as some of the other face masks I've tested recently. You can find out more about those in my post The Ultimate Guide to Sheet Masking: My Top Picks for Glowing Skin.

The Hydrating Anti-Age Face Mask is the first one from the Forever You collection that I've tried. Like most sheet face masks, it was easy to use. Whilst it did give a moisture boost to my skin the effects didn't last long. As it was discounted so cheap I'm still glad I bought it and gave it a try but I was expecting something more, especially as it's for 50+ age range and so for older, tired skin (I'm 45).

I will, of course, be trying the other masks I got in the range to see if they work any better. For now, though, I'm not likely to buy this one again, especially if I'd need to pay full price for it.
