It's 30th September and that means it's the last day of the September Video Challenge. What a month!

I dropped behind twice during the month but caught up and still managed to create, edit, and publish 30 videos in 30 days.

Thank you to those of you that watched the videos, subscribed to my YouTube channel, left comments here on the blog or on social media. I've loved reading your feedback.

Thanks also to those of you that weren't interested in the challenge but patiently put up with my daily posts about it anyway ;)

I had fun doing this and learnt a lot along the way. Thanks to the challenge I've also grown my network and made some awesome new friends too.

Now looking forward to a slightly more relaxed posting schedule, so I can concentrate on my November challenges. Yep, it's NaNoWriMo, PiBoIdMo, and WNFIN time again, and I plan on doing all three this year. More about those soon :)

Anyway here's the last video from the September Video Challenge. It seemed fitting to do a summary of what I learnt from doing the challenge.

Don't forget to subscribe to the newsletter for all the exclusive stats and info about the impact of doing the challenge, along with the results of my other marketing efforts over the month of September.

Library Reads: What The Kids Picked This Week 27 Sept - 3 Oct

Welcome to day 29 of the September Video Challenge. Today's video is the first in a new video series I'll be posting weekly to my YouTube channel, about the books my kids pick from the library each week and what we thought of them.

Every week I take my kids to the library to check out some new books. As we live in Italy most of the library is for books in Italian but they do have a good international section with lots of English language books too, so we always get a selection of both Italian and English books to take home.

This week the boys picked:

Five Little Monkeys - Play Hide-and-Seek by Eileen Christelow

The Haunted House by Kazuno Kohara

How Do Dinosaurs Go To School? by Jane Yolen and Mark Teague

Have you been to the library this week? What books are you reading with your kids this week? Share in the comments below.

It's day 28 of the September Video Challenge and I'm busy working on edits for my children's picture story book, The Bedtime Book, so I thought I'd make today's video about editing.

There are lots of different types of editing, and as an author it's important to know the differences. This video therefore is a quick summary of the different types of editing.

P.S. I'm currently in the line editing phase.

Welcome to day 27 of the September Video Challenge.

I'm a social media junky. I love it. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+.... I'm pretty much everywhere. Not all sites are the same though. I do have my favourites.

For today's video I'm sharing which social media sites are my favourites and why.

Book Review: Father of Fear by Ethan Cross

Books: My thoughts about Father of Fear by Ethan Cross

Welcome to day 26 of the September Video Challenge. Can't believe we're heading into the last week already!

Today I'm reviewing Father of Fear by Ethan Cross.

Father of Fear by Ethan Cross

About the book:

A father returns home to find that his family has been kidnapped and the only way to save their
lives is for him to kill another innocent person…

So begins a journey that will force Special Agent Marcus Williams of the Shepherd Organization to question all that he believes, unearth his family's dark legacy, and sacrifice everything to save those he loves. In order to stop the serial murderer whom the media has dubbed the Coercion Killer, Williams must enlist the help of one of the world's most infamous and wanted men...the serial killer Francis Ackerman Jr.

Rippling with intensity, charged with tension, and brimming with a relentless spirit of humanity, FATHER OF FEAR is the latest evidence that Ethan Cross is one of the finest suspense novelists on the planet.

Ethan Cross is fast becoming one of my favourite authors and Father of Fear was just as good as the other titles I've read in the Shephard series (if you haven't read them, check them out too!)

5 Star Award - Jo Linsdell Books and Blogging

This book gets a 5+ star review. An awesome read from beginning to end. Strong characters, action packed, thought provoking, and plenty of twists and turns along the way.

I highly recommend this book if you like the crime, or thriller genres.

What NOT To Do on Twitter

WOW! Already day 24 of the September Video Challenge. This month is flying by!

As I often share tips about what to do, I thought I'd mix things up a bit and do a what NOT to do today. Got to keep things interesting after all ;)

I love using Twitter (yes, I know. I've said it a thousand times. It is awesome though). That said, everyday I see people using it wrongly. You can't complain that you're not getting good results with it if you're not using it correctly.

So, for today's video I decided to share some of my pet peeves so that you don't annoy the Twitterverse, and can get the results you really want.

What is number one on your list of not to do for Twitter?
