Welcome to the August Book Bloggers Round Up!

Finding the time to scan through various social media feeds to find suitable content can take up valuable time and so I figured I'd make it easier and put together a collection here on the blog.

Each month I'll include a wide variety of content so there's something for everyone. You'll find book reviews, interviews, discussion pieces and more...

So if you're looking for new bookish content to read and/or want to discover some new book bloggers to follow, look no further!

I introduced this new feature here on the blog in May 2021 to showcase blog posts by other book bloggers. I'll be linking up a variety of blog posts so hopefully there will be something to suit all tastes.

@Mehsi_Hime reviewed Cuckoos Three by Cassandra Jean and Mosskat. "All in all, I flew through this book, it was just adorable, sweet, at times heartbreaking and sad, but all around fantastic. You will love these characters and their bond/their romance. Highly recommended." Read the full post here.

@alitescape reviewed Portrait of A Scotsman by Evie Dunmore. "I picked up PORTRAIT OF A SCOTSMAN on a whim and enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. I thought this would be somewhat whimsical and light hearted, and it had moments of the latter. But it was also deeper than that and I unexpectedly really appreciated that aspect." @cjfriess reviewed How to Hatch a Reader by Kari Ann Gonzalez & Rachel Suzanne. "Chickens as main characters add an original twist to the process of learning to read. The puns in the text made us laugh (FOWL language, EGG-cellent) and we love the way that they learn to read with words written in seeds on the farmyard. There’s a dance party and a play to celebrate and cement their learning and also a sub story involving Fox." Read the full post here. 

@ReadingLadiesBC  reviewed The Keeper of Hidden Books by Madeline Martin. "Fans of Madeline Martin will definitely be interested in this new release. Also for fans of WWII historical fiction and stories of brave difference-makers. Book clubs might find thoughtful discussion possibilities." Read the full post here.

@HCNewton did a post with Some Questions About Cover Art With…Elizabeth Peiró and Shannon Knight. "We end up talking about being a cover artist, hiring and working with one, AI, and more—with an eye to the snazzy cover to Wish Givers, the cover that Eli provided for Shannon’s upcoming re-release." Read the full post here.






@AlexCristie005 did a post 10+ books to read this Women in Translation Month. "In honour of this Women in Translation month, I have compiled a list of 10+ of my all-time favourite books, which happen to be written by women from around the world. Buckle up, it’s going to be a long flight: first landing in Argentina, then Cuba, a few stops in Europe, and a layover in Iran before reaching our final stop, Japan." Read the full post here.
