My Reading Habits in 2024 so far

A little late to the party I know but, I wanted to take a closer look at the sorts of books I've been reading so far this year, analyse my reading statistics, and see if I'm on track with my reading goals for 2024.

So far this year I've read a total of 18 books. For my Goodreads Reading Challenge for this year I set my goal at 40 books.

Unsurprisingly, thriller and mystery have been my dominant genres (they usually are).

My ratings:

3 Star Reads: 5
4 Star Reads: 5
5 Star Reads: 8

Best Books Read For Each Month
At the end of every month I pick my favourite book read during that month. Obviously the winner depends on the other books I read during each month, but in general the winners are all five or four star reads.

These are my favourite reads from each month:

January - One of the Good Guys by Araminta Hall - My Review - Amazon - Goodreads

February- Five Nights by Rachel Wolf - My Review - Amazon - Goodreads

March- The Passenger by Will Dean - My Review - Amazon - Goodreads

April- Murder at the Seven Dials by Cara Devlin - My Review - Amazon - Goodreads

May- When the Clock Chimes Two by Adriana Licio - My Review - Amazon - Goodreads

June- Silence of Deceit by Cara Devlin - My Review - Amazon - Goodreads

Reading Challenges 2024

I'm taking part in two reading challenges this year, both of my own creation. The Clock Reading Challenge (where the goal is to read 12 books throughout the year, each with a number 1 to 12 in the title) and the Net Galley TBR Reading Challenge (where the goal is to clear my TBR list on Net Galley and make my ration 100%).

Clock Reading Challenge

So far I'm on track for the Clock Reading Challenge. I've read a total of six books so far for this challenge.

Net Galley TBR Reading Challenge

I'm doing OK with the Net Galley TBR Reading Challenge too although I'll need to up my reading game for this if I'm going to meet my goal by the end of the year.
