Books with the Number Ten in the Title

I created the Clock Reading Challenge a few years ago and it's still going strong. You can find all the info about this years Clock Reading Challenge here, if you'd like more details about the challenge and how to join the 2023 edition.

I've already done a post in the past with Books with Numbers 1-12 in the Title but wanted to do more detailed posts for each number and offer even more ideas for books to choose from.

For this post I'll be sharing books with number ten in the title. All the books listed I either own or have read.

Ten Dates by Emily James

Ten Dates by Emily James

Statistically, if you kiss a lot of frogs there's bound to be at least one that's not a complete toad, isn't there?

When Joanie’s engagement becomes more stalemate than soulmate, her best friends stage an intervention sure to make even the most hardened, serial daters wince: 10 Dates in 10 Days.

With nothing to lose, Joanie embarks on a hilarious rollercoaster of blind dates. But when the hotter than hell guy next door starts throwing his spanner in the works, Joanie soon realises she may have bitten off more than she can chew.

10 DATES is an enemies to lovers, standalone romantic comedy with a happy ending. It is best suited for readers over the age of eighteen due to sexual themes and mature content.

Faking a marriage… How hard can it be?!

When
Lina’s oldest friends unexpectedly announce they’re coming to stay, she has to think fast. No one knows she and her husband Brown are breaking up and, if their friends find out, she knows they’ll take sides, and they’re just not ready for that. Surely they can pretend to be married for ten days?

Determined to only tell her friends when she’s figured out how she’s feeling, Lina comes up with a set of rules for her and Brown to follow:

  1. Strike “couple” poses (try not to throw your back out)
  2. Laugh at each other’s jokes (not so loud it sounds fake)
  3. Stare into each other’s eyes (remember to blink)
  4. Hold hands when walking (use a grip of steel)
  5. Share a bed… (GULP)

But, despite her step-by-step guide, pretending to be married isn’t as easy as she thought. Being back in the same house with her husband – laughing together, holding hands, sharing a bed – is making her more confused than ever. And by day five, Lina is starting to realise there’s a thin line between love and hate.

And while she can try to fool her friends, she can’t fool her heart. What might have begun as faking a marriage is starting to feel like the real thing…
Is this becoming more than make believe? And is it too late to find out if Brown feels the same?

The Perfect 10 by Eric O'Keefe

POLO IS NOT JUST THE GAME OF KINGS. IT’S A BLOOD SPORT IN THE PERFECT 10.

The final of the US Open is just days away, and Juancito Harrington, the world’s best polo player, is found dead in a posh Palm Beach hotel suite.

The good news is that Palm Beach P.D. quickly identifies the trophy wife of Juancito’s team owner as the primary suspect. The bad news is that everyone in polo knows that Kelly Dick doesn’t murder her lovers. She recycles them.

Only one man can crack the case: Rick Hunt, a West Point graduate currently assigned to the White House. Hunt is no detective, but he’s a lifelong polo player who needs no introduction to the world’s top pros. Or his ex-fiancée. Or her new boyfriend, an old teammate with a score to settle.
