Featured Blog Posts from the Blogging Community

A collection of blog posts from bloggers across books, lifestyle, travel, and more

Welcome to this month’s Blogger Posts Round Up — and a little milestone for the series.

Until now, this feature has focused solely on book bloggers, but from this month onwards I’m expanding the round up to include multiple blogging niches that reflect the topics I write about here on the blog.

Alongside bookish content, you’ll now also find posts covering health and fitness, home and garden, lifestyle, hair and beauty, and travel.

Disclosure: The FTC Disclosure Provision is a law that requires influencers to disclose when they are being paid to promote a product or service. So please know that if I'm not making money through affiliate links/sponsored content on the post you're currently reading, it's an oversight on my part and will be corrected soon. Read the full disclosure about all the legal stuff here.

About This Feature

I first introduced this round-up feature on the blog in May 2021 as a way to showcase blog posts by book bloggers. As it’s continued to be a popular series, I’ve decided to grow it to better reflect both my own blog content and the wider blogging community.

From this month onwards, each round up will include a broader mix of blogging topics, while still keeping books firmly at its heart.

You can expect to see:

  • Book reviews, tags, and reading discussions

  • Health and fitness posts focused on well-being

  • Home and garden inspiration

  • Lifestyle and personal blogging content

  • Hair and beauty posts

  • Travel guides and experiences

Why I Do This Round Up

Scanning through social media to find quality blog content can take up valuable time, so this round up brings everything together in one place.

It’s a way for me to:

  • Highlight and support bloggers across different niches

  • Help readers discover new blogs to follow

  • Share useful, inspiring, and enjoyable content

  • Continue promoting books and reading alongside other interests

How It Works

Each month, I share a submission call on my social media (currently via Twitter/X) inviting bloggers to submit posts published during that month.

While this feature originally focused on book blogging, submissions are now welcome from bloggers writing about:

  • Books

  • Health and fitness

  • Lifestyle

  • Hair and beauty

  • Travel

  • Home and garden

All featured posts must have been published during the relevant month.

Want to be included in future round ups?
Follow me on Twitter/X and keep an eye out for the monthly submission post.

Book Blogging

This section highlights blog posts from book bloggers sharing reviews, reading challenges, book tags, and literary discussions.

@WordsofMystery shared her book review of The Singles Tax: No-Nonsense Financial Advice for Solo Earners by Renée Sylvestre-Williams. "The Singles Tax is broken down into nine chapters, each addressing a different aspect of finance. And every section was valuable, well-organized, and presented in a straightforward, inviting style."

@leftontheshelf1 was part of a book tour for The Resistance Knitting Club by Jenny O'Brien and shared her review. "This was a well-written book which completely drew me in. The author is a great storyteller who has the ability to engage her readers from the very first page. I have not read anything by this author before, and am so pleased that this is the beginning of a series as I would love to read more."

@RachelBustin shared the ultimate Zodiac Academy reading order. "If you’re new to the Zodiac Academy universe or re-reading to spot all those hidden details, following the complete reading order helps you experience the most powerful supernatural world the way Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti intended."

@GinaRaeMitchell shared her book review of Pon My Puff by Peter Stark Lansley | A Childhood in 1920s Isle of Wight. "This is not a book that demands attention through drama, but one that earns it through gentleness, authenticity, and the lasting comfort of memory."

@TStrawberryPost shared Books With Interesting Horses (for Chinese New Year of the Horse 🐎). "Of course there are many books that have horses in them, but the books below feature horses that are in some way more than just a creature to be ridden, seen or to be used to pull something.  So I hope you enjoy these horsey reads for all ages featuring some interesting and amazing horses."

@DanSamEnd was part of a book tour for The Brief by Simon Michael and shared her review of the book. "A thoroughly entertaining read with a gritty edge set in 1960’s London where crime and corruption prevail. It’s well-researched and feels authentic providing an intriguing insight into the criminal justice system in play at that time."
