This post was meant to go LIVE on 13th February as part of the My Bookish Valentine Blog Hop but unfortunately our scheduled host for that day had technical difficulties with his blog and didn't manage to post. This topic was actually one of my favourites from the blog hop and, I think, one of the most useful for readers; A Book That You Love But No One Else Talks About.
So, in order to not skip the post, I'm hosting it today here :)
One of my favourite authors is Ethan Cross. I loved his Shepherd series, and recently read his new book Spectrum which was just as good. He’s great at blurring the lines between good and evil to create solid characters, whilst also having great plots with twists along the way that keep you hooked right up until the end.
Here's what the others had to say:
Casia Schreyer
I have read a lot of very strange books, and a lot of books that were published “before my time”. One of these has stuck with me in a special way, and I don’t really hear a lot of people talk about it anymore. Spider Robinson’s “Callahan’s Crosstime Saloon”. There’s a description of Fast Eddy playing the piano that’s beyond classic and there are so many great quotes.
V.L. Jennings
Hmm, a book I love that no one else talks about… <goes to scan my bookshelf>... It has to be here somewhere. Murphy’s Gambit by Syne Mitchell, a coming of age sci fi adventure story. Also, A Wrinkle In Time- but everyone is bound to be talking about that one now that the new movie is coming out. Enders Game, was another one I loved->before the movie came out- which was awesome by the way!

Wow… There are a lot of books on this list… Alright, other than my favorite book, Magic’s Pawn by Mercedes Lackey, the first book that comes to mind is Peeps by Scott Westerfeld. It was a different kind of vampire book, where vampirism was a sexually transmitted disease, and the idea was such an awesome concept to me that I instantly fell in love with it, but no one seems to have heard of it when I mention it to them.
What's a book that you love that no one else talks about? Let us know in the comments below.

As some of you already know, I run a Facebook group called Bookish Blog Hops where I organise blog hops with other book lovers. Click here to join.
Today I'm kicking off the My Bookish Valentine Blog Hop by sharing some of our favourite book bloggers.
I love the book blogger community. Such a friendly and supportive group of people. Here's a few of the book bloggers I follow regularly:
Skye Hegyes (www.skyehegyes.com) is joining in answering today's question too. Here's what she had to say:
I don’t know many book bloggers actually, but the two I follow include:
Rachel Poli (https://rachelpoli.com/) - She reads a lot of YA, which I also read, and mystery, which is a genre I’m just beginning to dive into.
Words Read and Written (https://wordsreadandwritten.wordpress.com/) - Jodie is an aussie blogger who reads a lot of contemporary and more erotic romance books, and while I don’t read a lot of those kinds of books, I do enough that I thoroughly enjoy recommendations from others such as Jodie.
Do you have a favourite book blogger(s)? Tell us about them in the comments below.
Bookish Blog Hops is a group for people taking part in bookish blog hops. The current blog hop is "My Bookish Valentine".
Each day of the blog hop a different member hosts a bookish question on their blog and includes the answers from other members in the post.
It's a fun way to collaborate together to reach a bigger audience, and spread the love of books.
I run the group, and post about upcoming blog hops that you can be part of.
My Bookish Valentine
Come and join in the fun and be part of the My Bookish Valentine Blog Hop. If you're a book blogger, and want to collaborate with others, this is a fun way of driving new traffic to your site whilst networking with others.
This is how it works:
In the group you'll find the sign up link for the blog hop and have access to the files for that blog hop. You just add your name and url next to the question you would like to host (under host), and sign up for the questions you want to answer. You can answer as few, or as many as you like. The more you answer, the more visibility you get.
Using the files link you then go to the dates for the questions you signed up for and post your answer to each question in the word file. You can upload a head shot photo of yourself or the cover of the book(s) you talk about in your answer to be used in the post.
Everyone taking part in the blog hop will be sharing each of the posts and so it's a nice way to reach a wider audience. It creates good backlinks between the sites too which helps them rate better in search results. It also gives hosts easy content for their sites as they just copy and paste the answers from the file in their blog post.
These are the questions for the My Bookish Valentine Blog Hop which will be taking place in February:
N.B. You don't have to host in order to be able to answer the questions. You can just answer the questions, although you'll get more traffic to your site if you host too ;)
I hope you can join us.
