This post was meant to go LIVE on 13th February as part of the My Bookish Valentine Blog Hop but unfortunately our scheduled host for that day had technical difficulties with his blog and didn't manage to post. This topic was actually one of my favourites from the blog hop and, I think, one of the most useful for readers; A Book That You Love But No One Else Talks About.
So, in order to not skip the post, I'm hosting it today here :)
One of my favourite authors is Ethan Cross. I loved his Shepherd series, and recently read his new book Spectrum which was just as good. He’s great at blurring the lines between good and evil to create solid characters, whilst also having great plots with twists along the way that keep you hooked right up until the end.

I have read a lot of very strange books, and a lot of books that were published “before my time”. One of these has stuck with me in a special way, and I don’t really hear a lot of people talk about it anymore. Spider Robinson’s “Callahan’s Crosstime Saloon”. There’s a description of Fast Eddy playing the piano that’s beyond classic and there are so many great quotes.
As well, I read a lot of local fiction and my favourite author, currently, is Geralyn Wichers. All four of her books (Cursed Seed, Born for Death, Sons of Earth, and We are the Living) are fantastic and I don’t think enough people know about them.
Hmm, a book I love that no one else talks about… <goes to scan my bookshelf>... It has to be here somewhere. Murphy’s Gambit by Syne Mitchell, a coming of age sci fi adventure story. Also, A Wrinkle In Time- but everyone is bound to be talking about that one now that the new movie is coming out. Enders Game, was another one I loved->before the movie came out- which was awesome by the way!

Wow… There are a lot of books on this list… Alright, other than my favorite book, Magic’s Pawn by Mercedes Lackey, the first book that comes to mind is Peeps by Scott Westerfeld. It was a different kind of vampire book, where vampirism was a sexually transmitted disease, and the idea was such an awesome concept to me that I instantly fell in love with it, but no one seems to have heard of it when I mention it to them.
