Required Reading for School

My son has been given the GGG (that's BFG in English) by Roald Dahl as part of his summer reading for during the summer break. I remember reading this children's classic when I was a kid and so this got me thinking about a whole bunch of things related to the books we were made to read in school, wish we'd read in school, translated books, and a variety of other things.

This video is me thinking out loud about all these topics and wondering what other people think about them too.
