Wrapping Up November: What Happened

Hair

November was uneventful for my hair, but I’ve continued using the Schwarzkopf Natural and Easy Natural Dark Brown 580 which I first tried in June. You can find my full review for it here.

Tip: If you’re looking for beginner-friendly hair dyes, this one is easy to apply at home.

Health

November was a much better month health-wise! I finally started a new medication that is helping to manage my conditions. While I still have occasional flare-ups depending on my diet, my overall quality of life has greatly improved.

I feel more capable of doing things I had put on hold, and my energy levels are back to a more normal rhythm. Small wins like this make a huge difference to motivation.

Blogging

I’m getting back into a consistent blogging routine this month, and it feels amazing!

Traffic for November: 228,325 page-views

Number of blog posts published in November: 22

Current DA score: 26

I’ve scheduled posts for December and even a few for January, which makes the workflow feel so much lighter. Updating older posts has also brought new traffic to older content, which is always exciting.

Next year, I’m planning to focus more on a backlink strategy to boost my SEO. Backlinks—links from other websites pointing to your blog—are one of the strongest signals Google uses to measure authority and relevance. By getting high-quality backlinks from reputable sites in my niche, I can improve my blog’s search rankings, attract more organic traffic, and reach readers who might not otherwise find my content.

My plan for 2026 includes:

  • Guest posting on related blogs: Writing helpful, informative posts for other sites in exchange for a link back to my own content.

  • Updating and repurposing old posts: Creating new, link-worthy resources from older content that can naturally attract backlinks.

  • Networking with fellow bloggers and influencers: Collaborating on roundups, link exchanges, or shared projects that benefit both audiences.

  • Submitting to relevant directories or resource pages: Finding authoritative websites in my niche where my posts would be a valuable addition.

I want this strategy to feel organic, not spammy. My goal isn’t just to get more links—it’s to create connections and share content that genuinely adds value. I’m excited to start implementing these tactics and see how it impacts my traffic and online presence in 2026.

Collaboration note: If you’d like me to collaborate on a blog post, feel free to get in touch—working with other bloggers is always fun!

Reading challenges

November was a much better reading month. Finally getting back into my groove again!

Travel

We went to the Christmas Parade in the centre of Rome at the end of November. It was a wonderful event supporting the local children’s hospital. While the crowd made it tricky to follow the parade, the atmosphere was magical and really got us into the Christmas spirit.

Later, there was a concert at Piazza di Spagna, but by then, we were tired and cold—so we headed home for hot chocolate instead!

Fitness

I'm back to going on my daily walks with my dog which is great for getting my steps in. I find a walk in nature is good for my mental health too so very happy to be back being able to do this again.

Another thing I've been doing to get more movement into my days is dancing. I basically just blast some tunes on Spotify and dance around my house like no-one is watching. It’s fun, energising, and surprisingly good cardio.
