Welcome to my July 2024 wrap up!

Here's a break down of what I got up to this month:

Wrapping Up July: What Happened This Month

Hair

I decided to dye my hair the same light brown colour again this month (just to cover the white ones). I'm trying to decide what I want to do next with my hair but haven't made my mind up yet. Maybe add some highlights? What do you think I should do with it?

I'm considering changing colour again but also not sure what I want to do with the cut. Do I cut it shorter? If yes, how short do I go? or do I grow it longer? Straight or back to natural curls?

Health

Another not great month in terms of health. We're peak summer here in Rome and with the temperature being around 40° plus humidity most days it's been a bit of a struggle for me. My air conditioner is my best friend right now!

On a positive note, I'm now off the cortico-steriods I was on last month and that whole issue has been resolved.

When I went back for my control visit my blood pressure was so low the Doctor asked if I was dead. Doctor is now treating my low blood pressure as dangerously low.

We're still trying to sort out the various other health conditions I have too. It's an on going thing as most of them are chronic conditions. Staying positive and doing what I can, when I can.

Blogging

July was an amazing month for my blog. I set a new record for traffic! đŸ¥³ Thank you so much to all of you that drop by my corner of the internet. I appreciate you all đŸ’—

Traffic for July:  85,148 page-views

Number of blog posts published in July: 18

Current DA score: 28

This is a huge milestone for me. I'm in awe of how much my site is growing this year. My previous personal best for traffic was in March this year with 76,465 views in the one month so July's traffic has blown me away!

My main sources of traffic continue to be; Organic Search (mostly via Google), Direct Traffic and Social Media (mostly from Pinterest).

Reading challenges

Various meds plus the heat have made reading hard this month. I did manage to make some progress with my TBR though.

The Clock Reading Challenge

I created the Clock Reading Challenge a few years ago as I thought it would be fun and not too difficult to complete.

If you need some help finding books for the challenge check out Books with Numbers 1-12 in the Title: Clock Reading Challenge.

I completed the Clock Reading Challenge 2023 in November

You can now join in the Clock Reading Challenge 2024

Travel

Not much travel this month as between the heat and my health issues it just wasn't an option. The most I managed was a couple of trips to the local swimming pool.

Fitness

This heat and my health are not the best combination for working out so not much to report here either. I have been doing gentle exercises like calf rises, some squats, hamstring curls etc... Most exercise has been done either by doing a lazy girl workout from bed or holding on to a chair. Better than nothing though.
