The "I Am the Reader" tag is all about stepping out from behind the screen, sharing a few personal bits, and connecting with fellow bookworms on a more human level.
Whether you've just stumbled across my blog or you've been around for a while, I thought this would be a fun way to introduce myself, talk about my reading habits, and maybe even reveal a few bookish confessions. So, pop the kettle on, get comfy, and let’s dive in.

1. Choose one word that describes being a reader?
2. What is the first book you fell in love with?
3. Hardback or paperback, e-book or audio?
4. How has reading shaped your identity?
5. What book do you read when you need to be comforted?
6. Who taught you how to be a reader?
7. Describe your dream reading lounge?
8. What book changed the way you act or see the world?
It's time for a book tag that shines some light on a few of those books I've been meaning to get around to.

As spooky season is upon us I thought it would be fun to do a Halloween themed book tag.

Today I'm doing the Evolution of BookTuber Tag.
I've chosen to do this tag because I realised I've been on BookTube for 17 years now (before BookTube was even a thing) and my channel has evolved a lot over that time.
(1) EXTINCTION: Are there things you used to do on your channel that you no longer do?
(2) ADAPTATION: What things have you done on your channel or as a result of being on BookTube that you never thought you would do?
(3) EVOLUTION: how has BookTube changed you and what do you aspire to do on your channel in the future?
(4) BONUS PROMPT: Impart your words of wisdom to all of the fledgling BookTubers out there!
(5) TAG SOME PEOPLE!

Welcome to my The Super Easy Rainbow Book Tag! This is an original tag I made up this morning. If someone else has already done the exact same tag in the past let me know so I can give them credit. There are lots of other rainbow book tags out there and they are all slightly different from each other (I'll be linking the ones I found below).
Now on to the book tag...
The rules
1. Give credit to the creator (AKA me 😉) with a link back to my post
2. Books must be from your bookshelves (physical or electronic are fine but you must own a copy of the book)
3) Have fun and tag some people to do it.
How it works
Pick a book from your collection where the chosen colour (one for each colour of the rainbow) is dominant on the cover.
Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Indigo
Violet
Watch my video of The Super Easy Rainbow Book Tag here:
As this is an original tag I'm just going to tag anyone who wants to do it so consider yourself tagged.
ArrictineReads created a Rainbow Book Spines Tag which I just found out about in this video but unfortunately the original video is now set to private. The goal was to make a rainbow from the spines of books.
I also found this video of a Rainbow Book Tag where you have 2 minutes to collect as many "rainbow colour corresponding" books on your bookshelf. The color can be anywhere on the cover or spine (the colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. Each "rainbow" or stack of 6 rainbow color corresponding books is 1 point. The original video for this tag is also unfortunately no longer available.
I found the Rainbow Flag Book Tag. Original video no longer available for this one too. This one is specific to queer books.
Read the rainbow book tag. Each book you pick should have an LGBTQIA+ main character and/or an LGBTQIA+ author. There are prompts from each colour.
Another is the Rainbow Book Tag. Again original no longer available. This one has additional colours on the list.
If you know of any other rainbow themed book tags let me know.
