Welcome to my March 2024 wrap up! I hope you all had a good month 😊

Here's a break down of what I got up to this month:

Hair

I changed my hair colour again... I know, I know... I'm always changing my hair colour. Keeps life interesting though 😉

This month I went for a light brown using Schwarzkopf Brillance 862 Hair Dye. I'm really pleased with the results.

Health

Up's and down's as usual but overall I'm doing much better now.

March is always a tricky month as the weather changes a lot, sometimes it feels like we get to sample all four seasons in the one day. This means everyone ends up getting ill with colds etc...

My kids brought home a stomach bug and then the flu during March which, of course, they shared with us all. This too shall pass and summer is just around the corner now which usual means we all get ill less.

In other health related news, I've been using the C2 Massage Gun I was sent by Bob and Brad and it's been helping relax my muscles and relieves some of my back pain. I have scoliosis and so basically have backache all the time.

Blogging

March was another great month for my blog. I set a new record for traffic to the site! 🥳 My previous personal best was 74,839 which I hit in January 2024. I'm really pleased with how much my blog is growing this year.

The only negative is that for some reason my DA score went down slightly. I'm not too bothered by that though as it's normal for it to fluctuate from time to time.

Traffic for March: 76,465

Number of blog posts published in March: 20

Current DA score: 32

An aspect I'd really like to improve on is engagement on posts. This is something I know a lot of bloggers struggle with. I'll be doing some more research into the topic of engagement this month and trying to put some of the tips I find into practice to put them to the test.

If you have any tips for getting more engagement on blog posts please share in the comment sections.

Also if there are any other blogging related topics you'd like me to covered here please let me know and I'll do my best.

Reading challenges

March was a slow reading month for me. Not sure why. I started off with a great book but then fell into a bit of a slump. I found at the end of the day I was either too tired or just not in the mood to read. Hopefully April will be better.

The Clock Reading Challenge

I created the Clock Reading Challenge a few years ago as I thought it would be fun and not too difficult to complete.

If you need some help finding books for the challenge check out Books with Numbers 1-12 in the Title: Clock Reading Challenge.

I completed the Clock Reading Challenge 2023 in November

You can now join in the Clock Reading Challenge 2024

Books read:

Nothing new to report for March. I did start reading Four Steps to the Perfect Revenge by Lilian Monroe but haven't finished it yet. Amazon - Goodreads

The Net Galley TBR Reading Challenge

Books read:

Nothing new to add here either. Four Steps to the Perfect Revenge is from my Net Galley TBR though so at least I'm making progress even if I haven't finished it yet.

Other books read:

The Last Passenger by Will Dean - My Review  - Amazon - Goodreads

Currently reading:

Four Steps to the Perfect Revenge by Lilian Monroe - currently at 40% - Amazon - Goodreads

Travel

Nothing to report here. The weather has continued to be mainly rain and wind here in Rome so haven't really wanted to go out and about much. In all the years I've lived here I think the only year it didn't rain over the Easter break was during lock-down 🙄

Fitness

I did the 30 Day Extreme Squat Challenge and the 30 Day Crunch Challenge in March. I'll be doing full blog posts soon with all the week by week progress reports for the challenges.

If you do decide to do a fitness challenge like these 30 Day Fitness Challenges for Beginners, make sure you take progress photos or at the very least a before and after. It really helps show you the little subtle changes you're making along the way and does wonders for motivation to keep going.
