How To Get Over 1000 Views To Your Blog Every Day

I recently did my annual Book Blogging Survey and found that yet again the majority of book bloggers are struggling to get over 5000 views to their blogs per month. Today I want to help change that.

One of my personal blogging goals is to reach 5000 views per day for my own blog and currently I'm averaging between 1500 and 3000 per day.

Reaching 1000 views every day is totally doable for most bloggers and in this post I'm going to take you through the ways you can make sure you're hitting that target.

So, how much content do you need to get 1000 visitors a day?

  • 10 posts getting 100 views a day
  • 100 posts getting 10 views a day

I know which I prefer.

How to get traffic to your blog

1. Create great content.

Quality content is your first step to blogging success. Put out content that people will want to read. When publishing a new post try to make it the best possible option for someone interested in that topic. Offer as much value to the reader as possible.

2. Post consistently.

When trying to increase views to your blog it's a good idea to post consistently. Three times a week is a good amount but if you can post more often without it effecting the quality of your content then that's even better. The more content you have, the more reasons you give readers to visit your blog. Never sacrifice quality for quantity though.

3. SEO your posts.

Search Engine Optimisation is key to increasing organic traffic to your blog. Make sure you're using keywords and phrases in your posts. Include internal links where possible.

SEO is key to organic traffic from Google so make sure you don't skip this step. By optimising your content for SEO you'll get regular long term traffic from Google search.

4. Make sure your blog looks good.

Having a great looking blog design is important but it's not limited to just that. You want to make sure you're optimising the readability of each post too.

Create white space in your posts, break up text with images, use sub-headings, etc... When you put all these factors together it makes for a much more readable post.

5. Optimise site navigation.

Having a well organised navigation bar and/or links in your blog side bar is a key element in getting people on your blog to read other posts you've created (and hopefully convince them to become return visitors to your blog).

6. Share your posts on social media.

The 'publish content and they will come' method isn't really enough. People need to know your content exists. Sharing links to your blog posts on various social media platforms is a good way to drum up awareness and increase views.

7. Create multiple pins for Pinterest for every blog post.

This is one of my most effective ways for increasing traffic to my own blog and plays a key role in my marketing strategy for my blog.

You don't have to be a great graphic designer to create pin worthy graphics. I'm a huge fan of Canva and regularly use it to create pins to promote my blog posts.
