According to the colour chart on the box my starting hair colour was close to the middle colour shown and so I was optimistic about getting my hair to a shade of blonde.
Unfortunately that didn't happen.
Here's a few before and after pics so you can see the difference it made to my hair.
As you can see, whilst it did lighten my hair a few shades it definitely didn't make my hair any shade of blonde. I was a little disappointed as the colour chart on the box promised quite a light shade of blonde and so I had been hoping for at least a dark blonde as the result.
It did however help blend in my roots a little bit better than before. The conditioner also left my hair feeling soft and smooth.
Overall this was a fail for me. I think it might potentially work better if your start colour is dark blonde and you're aiming for a light blonde.
Have you ever managed to turn your hair blonde just from using a box dye? If so, which brand did you use?
