October 2024 Book Blogger Posts Round Up

A collection of blog posts by book bloggers

Welcome back for another Book Bloggers Round Up! A content collection featuring blog posts by book bloggers.

Disclosure: The FTC Disclosure Provision is a law that requires influencers to disclose when they are being paid to promote a product or service. So please know that if I'm not making money through affiliate links/sponsored content on the post you're currently reading, it's an oversight on my part and will be corrected soon. Read the full disclosure about all the legal stuff here.

I introduced this feature here on the blog in May 2021 to showcase blog posts by other book bloggers and as it continues to be a popular series I've decided to continue again this year too.

Each month I'll include a wide variety of content so there's something for everyone. You'll find book reviews, interviews, discussion pieces and more...

So if you're looking for new bookish content to read and/or want to discover some new book bloggers to follow, look no further!

Why I do this feature:

Scanning through various social media feeds to find suitable content can take up valuable time and so I figured I'd make it easier and put together a collection here on the blog.

It's also a way for me to highlight some of the other great book bloggers out there and help promote books and reading at the same time.

How it works:

Each month I do a post via my Twitter, where I offer the opportunity for book bloggers to submit posts published during that month for inclusion in this round up. I do this every month.

Want to be included in future round ups? Follow my Twitter profile and keep an eye out for the submission tweet.

@storyreviewblog did the post Hamilton Book Month Author Showcase where she did a recap of some of the authors who were at the New Zealand Author Showcase event.

@Mehsi_Hime put together a post with ten zombie books to read. Perfect for Spooktober/ October Horror Mystery Month.

@DanSamEnd reviewed What We Did In The Storm by Tina Baker. "A cracking read delving deep into human nature and morality laced with scandal, mystery, and suspense where nothing is as it seems!" Read the full review here.

There's still time to join in The Clock Reading Challenge 2024!

@leftontheshelf1 did a review of Witchcraft: A Graphic History: Stories of Wise Women, Healers and Magic by Lindsay Squire. "This book has much to commend it. It tells the story of Biddy Early, a well known witch in the west of Ireland who was born in County Clare in 1798. The book does a great job of chronicling her life through words and illustrations and I could hardly put it down." Read the full review here.

@alitescape shared her thoughts about The City of Stardust by Georgia Summers. "...perfect for those who treasure that bedtime story, but this time for adults. It pits cruel divinity against earthly determination and forgiveness. Most of all, it’s about the search for family history and fighting for what you have." Read the full review here.

@thepagewalker1 reviewed The Crescent Moon Tearoom by Stacey Sivinsky. "The Quigley sisters' tale is a gentle reminder that in the tapestry of life, every thread is essential, and every pattern is part of a larger, beautiful design." Read the full post here.

@ReadingLadiesBC shared a list of ten books that she recommends for high school (and some middle-grade) students. Read the full post here.

@CHennighan reviewed What A Way To Go by Bella Mackie. "...is a delectable blend of wit, dark humour, and biting social commentary. Bella Mackie has once again proven her prowess in crafting stories that are as thought-provoking as they are laugh-out-loud funny." Read the full post here.

@_forbookssake did a review of Trespass Against Us by Leon Kemp. "This book will send shivers down your spine, and keep you up at night. However, it will also bring you to tears, and warm your heart." Read the full post here.
