November 2024 Wrap Up

November was a tough month. Various health problems, the death of my father in law, and the suicide of a friend was a lot to deal with. I'm very grateful for all of the people who reached out during this difficult time. All your messages meant a lot đŸ’–

Welcome to my November 2024 wrap up!

Here's a break down of what I got up to this month:

Wrapping Up November: What Happened This Month

Hair

I've been continuing on my mission to repair the damage I did to my hair and have discovered what is now my favourite hair product, the Gliss 4 in 1 Ultra Repair Hair Mask. Seriously this stuff is amazing! It's made a huge difference to the condition of my hair. Full review coming soon.

I dyed my hair with L'OrĂ©al Excellence Creme 9 light blonde box dye (full review coming soon) and decided to cut a little bit more off of the length. I went for a shorter bob cut. The idea being to get rid of as much of the damaged hair as possible. My hair grows super fast and so by doing regular cuts the overall health of my hair is improving loads without making drastic changes to the look. It's still long enough to tie back if I want to.

Health

It's not been great. If you've been here before you may wonder when it ever is... me too! Things have been a bit complicated of late with the sudden onset of menopause that came out of the blue. As I only turned 44 in September this isn't something I thought I'd have to think about for a few years yet, but here we are.

So anyway, numerous blood tests, visits, and injections have been happening. I spend a lot of time with doctors.

All the added stress this month hasn't helped either and I've been suffering with adrenaline insufficiency. I basically wake up tired, crash a few times a day and then struggle to sleep when it's actually time to go to bed. Although I'm still super tired it has improved over the past week since my doctor gave me something for it.

I've been getting a lot of pain in my abdomen and so will be having more scans done this week to investigate further. Having multiple problems in the same general area of the body doesn't make things easy.

Blogging

November was mind blowing đŸ¤¯ I set yet another new record for traffic to this site. Previous PB was last month with 262,198 views.

Traffic for November: 330,109  page-views

Number of blog posts published in November: 22

Current DA score: 27

Luckily I'd scheduled most posts for the month in advance as with everything that was going on I didn't get near my computer most days.

During the first week of the month I did manage to do some more updating of older posts like last month. Not much as things then got hectic but the effect of all the updating I did last month is still rolling out.

When you do updating it can have an immediate effect but in most cases it takes a few weeks before you see any results.

I'm definitely going to continue updating my older posts.

My blog post Books To Read For Halloween was Blog Of The Day for The Write Reads on 4th November and then again on 14th November for my post How I Got Over 200K Views In One Month.

I also did a blog tour to promote my children's picture story book The Box.

You can now join in the Clock Reading Challenge 2024
