As I have older posts that still get a lot of regular traffic (an upside of evergreen content đŸ˜‰), I feel like I should split this into two separate lists; one with my most viewed posts in 2022 (this includes all posts to the site including those published in previous years), and the other with my most popular posts from this year (only posts published in 2022).

Stats for Pageviews to My Blog This Year

My most viewed posts this year are as follows:

In first place with over 72,000 pageviews in 2022 (over 95,000 in total since publication) is Things That Should Be In Every Blog Post.

In second place with 17.5K pageviews is 60 Blog Posts Ideas for Book Bloggers

In third place with 12.9K pageviews is Blog Audit Challenge: Keywords and SEO

My most popular posts from this year are as follows:

In first place with 1.95K pageviews is Book Blogging in 2022 Survey. I published this post in May 2022.

In second place with 1.6K pageviews is Book Spotlight: We Watch You by NS Ford

In third place with  838 pageviews is How Often Do Book Bloggers Post?

My most popular book reviews:

My most popular book review of all time is Book Review: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling with 2.01K pageviews.

My most popular book review from this year is Book Review: All Aboard the London Bus by Patricia Toht with 461 pageviews.

As always I was curious to see what blog posts were the most popular for other book bloggers during 2022 and so I took to Twitter to ask the book blogging community to share their most viewed posts of the year.

Book Bloggers Most Viewed Blog Posts This Year

For @PagesUnbound it was Ten Young Adult Books with Male Protagonists. "I think it's popular because people Google teen books they think will appeal to boys because YA seems so girl-oriented."

@Art_of_Reading shared "I had other posts viewed more often, but I want to leave my most viewed review with you. It's an holocaust biography, which touched me deeply." The Boy Who Wouldn't Hate Book Review

@BiblioNerdRflxn stated "My most viewed post so far this year is my review of Babel. I'm not sure why this one has done so well. It did really great when I first published it and continues to bring in regular traffic via Google search results". ARC Review – Babel, or The Necessity of Violence: An Arcane History of the Oxford Translators’ Revolution.

@alitescape said "This book review has the most unique views for 2022. I'm surprised since this seems to have a more niche following. Maybe SEO helped a bit?" Book Review: To Bleed A Crystal Bloom by Sarah A. Parker

For @ReadingLadiesBC it was her book review of The Stranger in the Lifeboat by Mitch Albom. "Most viewed this year is Stranger in the Lifeboat by Mitch Albom (9,430). 1. Albom is a popular and well known author. 2. I reviewed close to pub day. 3. The content might have caused more readers to seek out reviews."

@nsfordwriter said "My most viewed post this year was from 2018, 'The 5 themes of Roald Dahl'. It comes up as a Google snippet and I think people must be linking to it as I have views of it pretty much every day!" The 5 themes of Roald Dahl

@ramblingsblog_ stated "My most viewed post of the year is my review of Outlander probably either because of the popularity of the TV series. That, or @The_WriteReads might have picked it as a review of the day đŸ˜‚"

@SifaPoulton said "WIN LOSE KILL DIE by Cynthia Murphy (makes up 3% of all hits, 4% once you remove page hits) - it went big on TikTok and I happened to have one of the highest results on a google search for a review for it" Book Review: WIN LOSE KILL DIE by Cynthia Murphy.

For @FantasyBookNerd it was Blood of Heirs by Alicia Wanstall Burke. "My most looked at post is a review of Blood of Heirs by Alicia Wanstall - Burke. I think with it being in SPFBO people were interested to see what this brilliant fantasy series was all about."

@Mehsi_Hime said "This year's top post has been It Ends With Us review which I wrote in 2016. I am guessing Colleen Hoover is popular. XD As for a post from this year, my Mid Year Freak Out Book Tag is popular. I am guessing people love seeing what I read + more."

@charlotteslib stated "My most viewed book review was for Nordy Bank, by Sheena Porter (1964); since vintage children's books aren't reviewed often, they show up higher in searches; just checked google and mine is the first review, after a bunch of sellers"

@owlbookworld said "Mine has been books about school shootings and I feel like that has a lot to do with me living in the US."

For @reader_at_work it was "I’m glad to have been wrong because the prize for highest views goes to this review: Review: A Half-Built Garden by Ruthanna Emrys .
